Posted: June 24, 2002 at 15:45 PM EST (20:45 PM GMT)

Polish striker Igor Sypniewski has signed with newly promoted A' Division club Kallithea and will be returning to Greece only a year after his recent stint in Poland.

The 28 year-old Sypniewski started his Greek soccer career playing for Kavala in 1997, but with his excellent performances that same season he made his way to Panathinaikos in December of 1997. He played for Panathinaikos until December 2000 and then he was transferred to OFI until the end of the season. Last year he played in his country for RKS Radomsko and recently Wisla Krakow.

Kallithea goalkeeping coach Yosef Wantsik referred Sypniewski to Nikos Kourmpanas who was looking for experienced players for his team's first stint in the Greek A' Division. PAE Kallithea president, Nikos Salevris, also announced that three more transfers will take place at his club.
