Nikos Anastopoulos' first day at Kallithea was filled with optimism as the Greek coach seems to have boosted his players' morale in his very first meeting with them. Anastopoulos tried to pass on to his team his own personal "philosophy": hard work. He made it clear that nothing has been lost as only two games have been played, so far. The Greek coach called for effort on his players' part, in all their games, starting with the away game in match day 3 against PAOK. All players participated in the training session that followed as internationals Kola and Strakosha have returned. The only absentee was Gontzos who is still recovering from surgery. On Tuesday, 10 September 2002 13:00GR, Nikos Anastopoulos will be officially presented to the press at the offices of the PAE. The new coach of the blue-white club will be bringing his own staff which may mean the end of Vangelis Goutis' career at Kallithea.
