Greek fuel truck owners have gone on strike accusing petrol companies of failing to honour a new transport fee agreement. The truck owners claim petrol companies agreed to pay them higher transport fees in a deal reached ten days ago, but have failed to pay up. National Economy Minister Nikos Hristodoulakis says the strike action is unjustified, as the truck owners have already received two separate increases this year. It's feared the unexpected action may jeopardize fuel supplies to the islands and some mainland regions during the peak summer holiday season. Development minister Akis Tsohatzopoulos has offered government mediation to resolve the dispute.
