ATHENS (Reuters) - Greece on Tuesday suspended the licence of a hotel on Corfu after two British children died there of carbon monoxide poisoning. Tourism Minister Fani Palli Petralia ordered local authorities to suspend the operating licence of the Louis Corkyra Beach hotel on the island until an official investigation into the deaths is complete, the ministry said. "If the final findings show the hotel is responsible, the licence will be revoked permanently," it said in a statement. A Greek prosecutor is expected to file manslaughter charges this week over the deaths, which were probably due to fumes from a gas-fired boiler outside the room that entered through a small hole in the wall. Neil Shepherd, his children Christianne, 7, and Robert, 6, and his partner Ruth Beatson, from West Yorkshire, were found in their bungalow on Thursday by a maid at the four-star beachfront hotel, a few days into their holiday. The children's father and Beatson spent two days in intensive care last week before making a full recovery. The hotel management said new water boilers had been installed two years ago and were checked annually.
