eKathimerini:

The revelation to a parliamentary committee, by the head of the country’s anti money-laundering agency, that an unidentified MP removed one million euros in savings out of the country fueled a political storm on Wednesday.
According the agency head, Panagiotis Nikoloudis, the lawmaker removed the cash from the country in May even as authorities were appealing to Greek citizens not to panic and empty their bank accounts. The MP is said to have transferred the money abroad legally but a moral question remained, Nikoloudis said.

Wrong, but...

Morally questionnable, but let's be honest here, can you blame the guy? If he is worried about the financial security of his family what do you seriously expect him to do? I mean what would you do? It's wrong because as a politician he should be setting an example and practising what he preaches... BUT... what would you do?
Nothing illegal but...

Greece needs to have a serious rethink on some laws that have been liberalised in recent years.
Our economy needs to be protected, citizenship and immigration laws need to change and the flow of capital needs to be limited.
I know what the rest of Europe does but the Greece of today is not the rest of Europe, is it?
I agree about immigration

I agree about immigration laws need to change but controlling the flow of capital is very difficult. It would isolate us economically. It will be like a self imposed economic sanction
Nothing new

Not as difficult as you may think and not an innovation. I remember very well a time when you could not export more than US $200 when you travelled abroad. I'm not saying we go back to that but we should stop the flow well short of €1.3 million!

...the MP who took €1,000,000 out of Greece is none other than Dora Bakoyanni the daughter of Constantine Mitsotakis.
Wasn't she the one who was screaming bloody murder in the Tsochatzopoulos affair?
