About 500,000 Greeks were living in households that had no income at all because all its members were unemployed, according to figures for the first six months of the year from the Bank of Greece (BoG).
This accounts for 12.9 percent of the labor force, up from 9.8 percent said the central bank.
Statistics also show that gross incomes have dropped by 6.3 percent this year compared to 9.1 percent in 2010.
