Several Greek productions and events will help kick off the annual Athens & Epidaurus Festival held in the Greek capital this summer, with performances at the Olympia Theatre and Peiraios 260 center.

The festival programme opened on Monday this week with the start of an photographic exhibition on the refugee crisis on loan from the Thessaloniki Museum of Photography, at the Peiraios 260 venue A, and the Bob Theatre Festival showcasing the work of fledgling theatrical groups, again at Peiraios 260.

The three-day Sound Acts platform starting on May 26 will present a number of performances exploring gender, racial, and body identity through the medium of sound, while the National Opera will put on a production of Giacomo Puccini’s “Madama Butterfly” at the Herod Atticus Odeon for five nights, starting on May 31 and culminating on June 7.

The June programme opens with one of the most successful performances of last year’s festival, “The Massacre at Paris” put on by The Little Things Orchestra, directed by Christos Theodoridis. The production won over audiences thanks to its tight dramaturgy and rapid pace, doing justice to a difficult yet poignant play that is considered one of the most enigmatic and misunderstood works by Christopher Marlowe. It will be performed for four nights (June 1-4) at the Peiraios 260 venue D, starting at 21:00.

The first week of June will also feature Euripidis Laskaridis and his Osmosis dance group in their new production “Titans” at Peiraios 260 venue E at 21:00 on June 6-8. After performing ‘Relic’ at 20 international festivals,…

Comics, including Samantha Bee and Seth Meyers, discuss Donald Trump’s close relationship with the network and his daughter Ivanka’s role in the White House

This article titled “Late-night hosts on Fox News: ‘The closest we have to state TV'” was written by Guardian staff, for theguardian.com on Thursday 6th April 2017 15.58 UTC

Late-night hosts took aim at Trump’s close relationship with Bill O’Reilly and discussed his daughter Ivanka’s role in the White House.

On The Late Show, Stephen Colbert talked about how the president had “stuck his finger into O’Reilly’s sticky situation”, referring to the Fox News pundit’s sexual harassment suits that the network settled to the tune of m.

When asked about O’Reilly, Trump claimed he wasn’t guilty. Colbert joked: “What happened to innocent until proven to have m?”

He continued: “The m might be the tip of the iceberg, although the tip is the most sensitive part of the iceberg.”

He went on to address Trump: “You just declared April ‘Sexual Assault Awareness Month’, and there are two accusations of sexual assault that I’m aware of: Bill O’Reilly’s and yours.”

Colbert also found time to discuss Ivanka Trump’s recent interview in which she addressed her influence on her father’s policies, stating that she hadn’t been elected by the American people. “To be fair, your father wasn’t elected by the American…
