The Greek daily ‘ To Vima’ reports that police have arrested a 38-year-old woman in Thessaloniki who would drug the elderly in order to rob them.

According to the report, the 38-year-old woman would gain access to the homes of he elderly victims by claiming to be a door-to-door salesperson of perfumes. Once inside and after gaining the trust of her victims, she would spike their water or coffee with a dug. She would then steal jewelry, cash and other valuable items.

Using this method, the 38-year-old woman had robbed a 72-year-old and 66-year-old woman in the past couple months. Police warned that this method can be highly dangerous for the victims, especially the elderly and people with existing medical conditions.
